This Annoys Me, So I'm Going to Annoy You

Ok, So I have not watched Merlin yet. I tried to watch it and then something happened that made me mad so I stopped watching and today I was going to watch but then I started my loan app and got distracted. But I know the basics of the myth and what they changed.

So here's what's annoying me. I love Arthurian legend, but the Myth is centuries old if you don't change it up a little it's going to get stale. I love re-tellings, re-imaginings, re-whatever.

I haven't watched the show yet, but from what I've heard about it the show did a good job; so why is it every time I see someone talk about it they preface it with "They change the legend around, but...". Of course they changed something other wise what's the point in watching?

So please, please stop telling me that Merlin changed things about the legend as if that's a bad thing.
